Fabeln

Fabeln, published in 1771, is a collection of fables and narratives by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, a key figure of the German Enlightenment. The work includes selections from his earlier collection, Fabeln. Drei Bücher, published in 1759, which faced some textual issues. Lessing's fables are notable for their moral lessons and reflections on human behavior, contributing significantly to the genre in German literature.
