Eshcol
Published in 1647, 'Eshcol' by John Owen outlines scriptural guidelines for ecclesiastical fellowship and discipline. The book is divided into two parts: the first presents seven rules regarding the duties of church members to their pastor, while the second offers fifteen rules on members' responsibilities to one another. Although written after Owen adopted Congregational views, the principles are applicable across various forms of church governance, supported by scriptural evidence and explanations.
