Day of Wrath

In the Norgan solar system, a council of worlds presides over order until Rona, the breadbasket planet feeding millions, faces catastrophic destruction. When the system's survival hinges on finding new resources, its inhabitants must confront an impossible question: what price are they willing to pay for survival? Bjarne Kirchhoff's mid-century novella builds tension through measured prose and hard choices, exploring how civilizations rationalize desperation when the stakes are existential. The moral crisis that unfolds forces characters and readers alike to reckon with the thin line between preservation and barbarism. This is science fiction as ethical reckoning: not about ray guns or alien battles, but about the violence we commit when survival becomes our only god.
