Civil Service Jingles and Other Things

Civil Service Jingles and Other Things, written by Harry McDonald Walters in the early 20th century, is a collection of humorous poetic sketches that satirize the life within the civil service. The poems blend wit and social commentary, exploring the absurdities of bureaucracy through playful rhymes and anecdotes. Walters, a former civil servant, draws on his experiences to provide authentic insights into the daily routines and characters of government work, making the collection both entertaining and reflective of the bureaucratic landscape in Canada.
