Christmas Short Works Collection 2014
A global chorus of Christmas voices fills this 2014 Librivox collection, where volunteers from six languages gather around a shared warmth. Here are short stories and poetry, a play performed by a cast of readers, nonfiction reflections, and biblical passages read aloud. The collection moves from English to Bulgarian, French, German, Italian, and Swedish, each language carrying its own music to the season. "The Christmas Dinner" anchors the collection as a full theatrical reading, while poems and stories drift across borders. What emerges is something rarer than a typical holiday anthology: an international community making the old texts live again, their voices imperfect and human and full of intention. This is Christmas as oral tradition, as gift exchange, as something spoken aloud in a dark room.
