Christmas Outside of Eden

What if the very first Christmas happened to the first humans, cast out of Eden into a wilderness that wanted nothing to do with them? The Man and Woman struggle to survive among animals who remember their betrayal, still bitter over the loss of paradise. When the Woman falls dangerously ill, the Man embarks on a desperate journey through a freezing Christmas Eve storm to find God and beg for forgiveness. He returns to discover she has given birth to their child, and in that small, crying infant, something impossible unfolds. The judgmental animals begin to celebrate. And God, for the first time, learns to laugh. This is a tender, strange little fable about innocence reentering a world that had forgotten joy. It has the gentle strangeness of a bedtime story told by someone who believes in redemption. The prose occasionally stumbles into sentimentality, but there's real charm in its audacious premise: that Christmas began not in a stable, but at the very dawn of human history.
