Bridge Crossing
Bridge Crossing is a science fiction short story by Dave Dryfoos, written in the early 21st century. Set in a post-apocalyptic San Francisco, it follows Roddie, a boy raised in a city protected by android soldiers, as he navigates his identity amidst a world dominated by mechanized beings and a faction of humans known as 'Invaders.' The arrival of Ida, an Invader girl, challenges Roddie's understanding of humanity and loyalty, leading him to confront his own existence and purpose while journeying toward the ruins of the Golden Gate Bridge.
