Aristotle's Masterpiece

Aristotle's Masterpiece
Aristotle's Masterpiece, published in 1684, is a sex manual and midwifery guide attributed to an unknown author using the pseudonym Pseudo-Aristotle. This work gained popularity in England from the early modern period through the 19th century and was reportedly banned until the 1960s, although formal bans were not in place. Its controversial content led to caution among publishers and booksellers, especially following the 1857 Obscene Publications Act, marking it as a significant text in discussions of sexuality and reproductive health in historical contexts.
