
After Music
After Music is a poem by American poet and dramatist Josephine Preston Peabody, included in An American Anthology, 1787–1900, edited by Edmund Clarence Stedman. Peabody, born in New York and educated at Radcliffe College, is known for her contributions to early 20th-century American literature. This poem reflects her lyrical style and thematic focus on the interplay between music and emotion.
