Action on Azura

When the Invaders came to Azura, they left nothing but ash and memory. Now, centuries later, a crack team from CONTACT INCORPORATED arrives on a dying world, tasked with the impossible: convince a traumatized civilization to trust strangers from the stars when the last "strangers" burned their cities to the ground. What follows is a tense, often heartbreaking negotiation where language is only the first barrier. The Azurans remember humanity's kindest gesture as a prelude to annihilation. The crew must prove that not all outsiders come to conquer while there's still time to stop the Invaders' return. Osborne writes with quiet compassion about the violence of misunderstanding and the desperate, fragile hope of reaching across an uncrossable divide. This is first contact filtered through the lens of genuine cultural trauma, asking what happens when peace requires earning back trust your appearance guarantees you've broken.
