Elisabeth Kuylenstierna-Wenster was a prominent Swedish writer and translator, recognized for her contributions to literature under the pseudonym Sten Wide. Educated in France, Germany, and Denmark, she began her literary career in the late 19th century, writing for various magazines until 1913. Her diverse body of work includes over ten collections of short stories, more than twenty children's books, and approximately fifty novels that often tackled themes of societal critique and historical narratives. Kuylenstierna-Wenster's writing was characterized by its engagement with contemporary issues, reflecting the complexities of her time. In addition to her writing, Kuylenstierna-Wenster was an influential lecturer, teaching French and later becoming a popular science lecturer in Lund.
