Yi King - I Ching - The Book of Changes
The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese text traditionally attributed to figures such as Fúxī, King Tāng, and Confucius, dating back to around 1000 BC. It consists of 64 hexagrams formed from combinations of yin and yang lines, used for divination and philosophical inquiry. Recognized as one of the Five Classics of Confucianism, it emphasizes the importance of understanding change and the natural order. James Legge's English translation, notable for its historical significance, was nearly lost to the sea before publication.
