Yang Chu's Garden of Pleasure

Yang Chu's Garden of Pleasure, attributed to the philosopher Liezi, dates back to around 300 B.C. during the Court of Liang. It presents the teachings of Yang Chu, a philosopher who advocated for pleasure and contentment, reminiscent of Epicurus's philosophy in ancient Athens. The text, preserved through the writings of his pupil Meng-sun-Yang, offers insights into Yang Chu's views on life, wisdom, and the pursuit of truth, making it a significant work in early Chinese philosophy.
