The Macedonian Campaign

The Macedonian Campaign, written by Luigi Villari and first published in 1928, provides a detailed historical account of the Italian forces' operations during World War I in the Balkan Peninsula. Villari, an Italian liaison officer, emphasizes the significance of the Italian expeditionary force's contributions, which have often been overlooked in broader discussions of the war. The book explores the political and military complexities of the campaign, aiming to rectify misconceptions and highlight its critical impact on the war's outcome.
