The Freelancer

The Freelancer is a mid-20th century science fiction novella by Robert Zacks, set in a dystopian future where copyright laws govern everyday speech. The story follows Jeb, a freelance Monitor who reports verbal property violations, struggling with personal and professional challenges, including a strained marriage.
