Struwwelpeter
Struwwelpeter, written by Heinrich Hoffmann in 1844, is a collection of illustrated children's poems that depict humorous yet often violent consequences for misbehaving children. Hoffmann created the book when he couldn't find a suitable picture book for his son, leading him to write and illustrate his own stories. Notable for its dark humor and moral lessons, Struwwelpeter has influenced many later works, including Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
