Strong Poison
Lord Peter Wimsey, that most debonair of amateur sleuths, finds himself in a most inconvenient predicament: he's fallen head over heels for Harriet Vane, a brilliant crime novelist currently standing trial for the arsenic poisoning of her former lover. With the gallows looming and evidence stacked against her (including a recently penned manuscript detailing the ease of arsenic murder), Peter embarks on a frantic race against time. He must unmask the true killer before Harriet is condemned, navigating a world of literary rivals, bohemian free-love advocates, and the eccentricities of the English upper crust, all while attempting to woo the very woman he's trying to save.
