State of the Union Addresses

State of the Union Addresses is a collection of speeches by Rutherford Birchard Hayes, the 19th President of the United States, delivered during his presidency from 1877 to 1881. The addresses reflect on significant national issues of the late 19th century, including the aftermath of the Civil War, economic recovery, civil rights, and foreign relations. Hayes emphasizes the importance of unity and justice for all citizens, particularly for formerly enslaved individuals, while advocating for sound fiscal policies and national stability.
