Sonny Boy

In a household full of children, Sonny Boy Plummer has always felt like the one nobody would miss. When his Aunt Kate suddenly asks him to spend six months in the city, he arrives expecting more of the same invisibility. Instead, he finds himself tangled in wonderfully unexpected adventures: a parrot escapes, his trained white mice become performers, and most importantly, he befriends Otto, a disabled boy in the hospital who has never had a real friend. When crisis strikes during a parade, it's small, overlooked Sonny Boy who proves that courage isn't about being the biggest or the favorite. It's about showing up when it matters. This is a gentle reminder from an earlier era that worth isn't given by others; it's discovered through kindness and nerve.
