Romantic Young Lady

Rosario has read one too many sentimental novels. She lives in a world of grand passions and dramatic declarations, her head full of "divine nights" and envoys of true love, until one catastrophic thunderstorm forces her to confront the gap between fiction and reality. When a mysterious figure appears at her window during a tremendous lightning flash, she must decide whether she's been dreaming all along or whether life might finally match her fantasies. Gregorio Martínez Sierra's sparkling comedy dissects the romantic imagination with affection and wit, using Rosario's theatrical expectations as both comic fuel and genuine emotional vulnerability.
