Poems of Emile Verhaeren

Poems of Émile Verhaeren is a selection of works by the Belgian symbolist poet, originally published in French. This collection features poems primarily from 'Les Villages Illusoires' (1895), reflecting Verhaeren's observations of everyday life and landscapes in Flanders. It also includes excerpts from 'Les Heures Claires', a love poem dedicated to his wife, and selections from 'Les Apparus dans mes Chemins' (1891) and 'La Multiple Splendeur' (1906). Translated by Alma Strettell, this anthology showcases Verhaeren's significant contributions to symbolist poetry.
