On the Laws
On the Laws (De Legibus) is a philosophical work by Marcus Tullius Cicero, written in the late years of the Roman Republic, shortly after his treatise On the Commonwealth. The text consists of three surviving books that discuss Cicero's views on Natural Law, reinterpret the religious laws of Rome, and propose reforms to the Roman Constitution. This work is notable for its exploration of the relationship between law and morality and its influence on later legal and political thought.
