Noble Heart
Noble Heart is a Victorian melodrama written by George Henry Lewes, the common-law husband of novelist George Eliot. Set in 16th century Spain, the story revolves around a love triangle involving Don Gomez de la Vega, a nobleman serving his king, and his son, Don Leon, both of whom fall in love with Juanna, the daughter of a merchant. The narrative explores themes of honor and loyalty amidst personal and political conflict.
