History of Animals
History of Animals, written by Aristotle in the 4th century BCE, is a foundational text in zoology that systematically categorizes and examines various animal species and their anatomical structures. The work is divided into ten books, covering topics such as the classification of animals, internal organs, reproduction, and social behavior. Notably, it includes observations on both blooded and invertebrate animals. The translation by Richard Cresswell is used, as the translation by D'Arcy Thompson excluded certain sections deemed spurious.
