Eros and Psyche
Eros and Psyche, written by Robert Bridges, is a poetic retelling of the myth of Eros (Cupid) and Psyche, originally recorded by Lucius Apuleius in The Golden Ass. Published in the early 20th century, the poem is structured into twelve cantos, each representing a month of the year, with the number of stanzas corresponding to the days in each month. Each stanza consists of seven lines, following a consistent end-rhyme scheme, which contributes to the poem's lyrical and pastoral quality.
