[3], 61 p. ; 33 cm Holograph transcriptions and abstracts of chemical texts including five treatises from Villanova's R̲o̲s̲a̲r̲i̲u̲m̲ a̲b̲b̲r̲e̲v̲i̲a̲t̲u̲m̲, Boni's M̲a̲r̲g̲a̲r̲i̲t̲a̲ P̲r̲e̲t̲i̲o̲s̲a̲, and Philaletha's English texts on sulphur. Two texts are from Blankaart's T̲h̲e̲a̲t̲r̲i̲c̲u̲m̲ c̲h̲i̲m̲i̲c̲u̲m̲ (1693). Ms. ends with 208 blank pages. Note on first flyleaf : "Sep. 25, 1727 / Not fit to be printed / Tho. Pellet." In Latin Spine title : Chemistry Manuscript Annotated table of contents laid in Burndy Ms. no. 9 Provenance: Bern Dibner (donor) ; Pencil note inside front cover : "From collection of Viscount Lymington, to whom they have descended from Catherine Conduitt Viscountess Lymington, Great Niece of Sir Isaac Newton."
