Categories
Categories, written by Aristotle in the 4th century BCE, is the first of his six texts on logic known as the Organon. In this work, Aristotle classifies all possible subjects and predicates of propositions into ten categories: Substance, Quantity, Quality, Relation, Place, Time, Position, State, Action, and Affection. This foundational text is notable for its systematic approach to categorization, influencing subsequent philosophical thought and logic.
