Boy Labour and Apprenticeship

Published in 1911, 'Boy Labour and Apprenticeship' by Reginald A. Bray is a social reform treatise addressing the challenges of youth employment and apprenticeship systems in early 20th-century Great Britain. Bray critiques the declining standards of boy labor during industrialization and calls for a restructuring of apprenticeship programs to support young workers. He emphasizes the need for proper supervision, training, and clear pathways to sustainable employment, highlighting the societal consequences of neglecting the transition from school to work for boys. This work serves as a significant commentary on the importance of reforming youth labor practices.
