Bible (ASV) NT 02: Mark

The Gospel of Mark burns through the story of Jesus with unparalleled urgency. This is not a contemplative meditation but a sprint through salvation history: from the appearance of John the Baptist in the wilderness to the empty tomb. Mark's Jesus moves quickly, acts decisively, and speaks rarely. Demons recognize him; he tells them to be silent. He performs miracles that blur the boundary between physical and spiritual healing.
