Bible (ASV) 16: Nehemiah
The Book of Nehemiah, traditionally attributed to Nehemiah himself, is part of the Hebrew Bible and is believed to have been written around 431-430 BC. It details Nehemiah's efforts to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem after his return from Persia, the religious state of the Jewish people, and the organization of the community, including a census of the population. Often paired with the Book of Ezra, Nehemiah addresses themes of leadership, reform, and the challenges faced by the Jewish people during this period.
