As Other Men Are

As Other Men Are is a collection of ten short stories by Dornford Yates, published in 1925. The narratives focus on the relationships between impoverished former officers of the Great War and wealthy women, each story named after a significant male character. This collection features a harsher tone than Yates's earlier works, portraying women as sometimes greedy and sharp-tongued, while all stories conclude happily. The title alludes to a biblical parable, adding depth to the exploration of man-woman dynamics.
