Wild Life on a Norfolk Estuary

Published in 1907, 'Wild Life on a Norfolk Estuary' by Arthur Henry Patterson is a detailed account of the natural history of the Norfolk Broads, presented in two sections. The first part chronicles the seasonal life around Breydon Water, while the second continues themes from his earlier work, 'Notes of an East Coast Naturalist.' Patterson, a self-taught naturalist, dedicated the book to his friend Mary Du Caurroy Russell, a fellow ornithologist. His observations remain significant today, reflecting the enduring vitality of the region's flora and fauna.
