West

West is a poem by Francis S. Borton, featured in his collection 'The Call of California, and Other Poems of the West.' Written in the early 20th century, it explores the themes of nature's harsh beauty and humanity's struggle to dominate it. The poem captures the majesty of the natural world and reflects on the challenges faced by both animals and humans. It was part of the Fortnightly Poetry project recorded by LibriVox volunteers in May 2021.
