The Tithe

The Tithe, written by Elmer Bryan Stewart and published in 1903, is a theological treatise that examines the historical and scriptural foundations of tithing. Stewart critiques modern Church finance practices and argues that a proper understanding of tithing can enhance the Church's mission and outreach. He emphasizes the need for clear principles regarding financial contributions from Christians, attributing inadequate Church funding to the teachings at theological seminaries. This work is recognized for its cultural significance and is part of the public domain in the United States.
