The Subspecies of the Mexican Red-Bellied Squirrel, Sciurus Aureogaster

The Subspecies of the Mexican Red-Bellied Squirrel, Sciurus Aureogaster, is a scientific publication by Keith R. Kelson, written in the early 1950s. This work provides a taxonomic analysis of the Mexican red-bellied squirrel, focusing on morphological characteristics and geographic distribution. Kelson examines 256 specimens and challenges previous classifications, proposing that some subspecies may not warrant separate taxonomic status. This publication contributes significantly to the field of mammalogy by clarifying the classification of these squirrels.
