The Siksha-Patri of the Svami-Narayana Sect
Translated by Monier, Sir Monier-Williams
The Siksha-Patri of the Svami-Narayana Sect is a religious guidebook written in 1882, providing a comprehensive manual of spiritual and moral instructions for followers of the Svami-Narayana sect, a modern Vaishnava tradition in Hinduism. The text, originally composed of 212 Sanskrit verses by Lord Swaminarayan (1781-1830), outlines ethical conduct, purification rituals, and worship guidelines, emphasizing dharma, devotion, and community duty. It serves as a foundational scripture for adherents, detailing the practices essential for spiritual adherence and personal harmony within the sect.
