The Roman Empire in the Light of Prophecy: The Rise, Progress, and End of the Fourth World-Empire
The Roman Empire in the Light of Prophecy: The Rise, Progress, and End of the Fourth World-Empire
What if the rise and fall of empires was written in scripture centuries before the first legion marched? W.E. Vine mounts a rigorous case that the Roman Empire the fourth and final world-power in biblical prophecy continues to shape geopolitics in ways most people never recognize. Drawing on Nebuchadnezzar's famous dream and the "Times of the Gentiles," Vine traces a thread from Babylon through Greece to Rome, arguing that the ancient empire's political DNA lives on in modern governance and will ultimately revive in a future global order. Written with scholarly precision but accessible conviction, this early 20th-century text asks readers to see history not as chaos but as a script already partly performed. Whether you find Vine's prophetic framework persuasive or provocative, his argument forces a question that refuses to fade: are we living in the aftermath of an empire that never truly died? For readers who devour eschatological speculation, dispensationalist literature, or the intersection of faith and international affairs.
