The Ministry of the Spirit
The Ministry of the Spirit is a theological treatise by A. J. Gordon, written in the late 19th century, that explores the role and significance of the Holy Spirit in Christian doctrine. It emphasizes the transformative impact of the Spirit on believers and the church, particularly from Pentecost onward. Gordon argues for the distinct personhood of the Holy Spirit within the Trinity and outlines the evolution of His ministry, asserting that understanding this is crucial for spiritual maturity. The book challenges the notion that miracles ceased with the apostles, advocating for the ongoing presence of the Spirit's work in the church today.
