The Manifestation of the Miraculous Medal: A Brief Account of Its History and of the Establishment of the Association

The Miraculous Medal began with a young French nun who refused to sleep until she had seen the Virgin Mary. In 1830, Sister Catherine Labouré's perseverance was rewarded with a series of startling apparitions in which the Blessed Mother appeared to her with specific instructions: create a medal that would pour out graces upon all who wore it with faith. This book tells that extraordinary story - from Catherine's initial reluctance to share her visions, through the medal's creation against institutional resistance, to the miracles that followed its distribution and the establishment of a worldwide association devoted to Mary under her title of the Immaculate Conception. The text captures something rare: a first-person closeness to the supernatural, a window into how divine requests become earthly objects and how a single nun's obedience transformed Catholic devotional life. For readers drawn to stories of faith intersecting with the tangible world, this slim account offers both historical substance and spiritual intimacy. It endures not as literature but as testimony - the kind of document that has kept a devoted international readership for nearly two centuries.
