The Literature and History of New Testament Times

Written in the early 20th century by J. Gresham Machen, 'The Literature and History of New Testament Times' provides a scholarly examination of the historical context surrounding the New Testament. The book explores the Roman, Greek, and Jewish influences that shaped early Christianity and emphasizes the importance of understanding Bible history for a deeper comprehension of Christian teachings. Machen argues that neglecting this history weakens the church's foundation and that a thorough grasp of the apostolic age is essential for both teachers and students of the Bible.
