The Issue: The Case for Sinn Fein

Written in the ferment of 1918, as the Great War ends and empires tremble, this impassioned pamphlet makes the case for Irish self-determination with fiery conviction. The author dissects decades of failed parliamentary efforts in Westminster, arguing that English "reform" has always been delay and deception. Using economic data, historical grievance, and raw moral urgency, the text builds to a simple, devastating conclusion: Ireland must take her freedom, because no one else will give it. The writing crackles with conviction, treating independence not as policy but as existential necessity. For readers interested in the birth of modern Irish nationalism, the collapse of British imperial confidence, or the rhetorical craftsmanship of political persuasion, this pamphlet offers a window into a pivotal moment when everything seemed possible and the old order was dying.
