The Influence of Buddhism on Primitive Christianity

The Influence of Buddhism on Primitive Christianity, written by Arthur Lillie and published in 1893, examines the parallels and influences between Buddhism and early Christianity. Lillie argues that both religions share ethical teachings and spiritual goals, suggesting that early Christian thought may have been shaped by Buddhist doctrines. He explores the historical contexts of both faiths and posits that Buddhist missionaries may have played a role in the development of Christian beliefs, highlighting an often-overlooked interconnectedness in religious history.
