The History of the European Fauna

The History of the European Fauna, written by R. F. Scharff and published in 1899, is a scientific exploration of the origins and distribution of animal species across Europe. Scharff examines the impact of geographic and climatic changes on historical migrations, providing insights into the evolution of Europe's fauna. The work emphasizes the importance of understanding these factors for a comprehensive study of animal distribution and offers valuable observations for zoologists and geologists. It serves as a foundational text for the study of zoogeography in Europe.
