The Gap in the Fence

The Gap in the Fence is a children's novel by Frederica J. Turle, first published in 1914. Set in early 20th century England, it follows the Carew children as they befriend Una, a girl from a foreign family moving into the nearby Haver Grange. The story explores themes of childhood curiosity, friendship, and the contrast between the carefree lives of the Carews and Una's more complex background. This work highlights the innocence of childhood and the beauty of imagination in a picturesque garden setting.
