The Felon's Track; Or, History of the Attempted Outbreak in Ireland: Embracing the Leading Events in the Irish Struggle from the Year 1843 to the Close of 1848

The Felon's Track, written by Michael Doheny in the mid-19th century, is a historical account of the Irish nationalist movement from 1843 to 1848, particularly focusing on the Young Ireland movement. Doheny, a key figure in this struggle, discusses the motivations behind the movement and the efforts of its leaders to foster national identity and independence from British rule. The book provides a retrospective on significant events and figures, including Daniel O'Connell and Thomas Davis, culminating in the attempted insurrection of 1848, while asserting that Ireland's challenges were not due to cowardice among its people.
