The Early Irish Monastic Schools

The Early Irish Monastic Schools, written by Hugh Graham in the early 20th century, provides a historical analysis of the Irish Monastic Schools that thrived before 900 A.D. The book highlights their significant contributions to education and culture during the Early Middle Ages in Ireland, emphasizing the blend of native Irish culture, Christianity, and Graeco-Roman influences. It addresses the continuity of educational history during a period often overlooked due to the decline of learning after the Fall of the Roman Empire.
