The Burston School Strike

The Burston School Strike, written by Casey in the early 20th century, details a pivotal event in Burston, Norfolk, where teachers A.K. and T.G. Higdon were unjustly dismissed due to conflicts with local authorities. The book highlights the grassroots resistance led by the villagers, particularly the children, who refused to attend school until their beloved teachers were reinstated. This historical account sheds light on the struggle against authority and the power of community activism.
