The Boyhood of Jesus

What was the boyhood of the Son of God like? This gentle early 20th century story invites young readers into that sacred mystery, imagining the ordinary moments and extraordinary encounters that shaped the child who would become the savior of the world. The narrative begins in Bethlehem, with angels announcing the birth of a king to humble shepherds and wise men traveling from distant lands to offer their gifts. But the heart of the book lies in the quieter scenes: the young Jesus growing in wisdom and grace, obedient to his parents, curious about the things of God. Most moving is the episode at twelve years old, when the boy Jesus is found in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening and asking questions, his divine wisdom already beginning to bloom. Here is a Jesus children can relate to, a boy who laughed and learned and loved, whose early years point toward the man he would become. Perfect for families seeking to share the foundations of faith with young hearts.
