The Bible, Douay-Rheims, Book 48: Mark: The Challoner Revision

The Bible, Douay-Rheims, Book 48: Mark, first published in 1609, is part of the New Testament and presents the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Gospel is notable for its succinct narrative and emphasis on Jesus's miraculous works, portraying His humanity and emotions, particularly during His Passion. The text is a revision by Bishop Richard Challoner, who modernized the original Douay-Rheims translation, making it a significant version for English-speaking Catholics until the twentieth century.
