The Bible, Douay-Rheims, Book 02: Exodus: The Challoner Revision

The Bible, Douay-Rheims, Book 02: Exodus, first published in 1609, is a significant religious text traditionally attributed to Moses. This book is part of the Old Testament and narrates the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt, emphasizing themes of oppression, faith, and divine intervention. It details Moses' journey from infancy to leadership, including his encounters with Pharaoh and God's call through the burning bush. The text is a revision of the original Douay-Rheims translation, modernized by Bishop Richard Challoner in the 18th century, and remains influential in Catholic tradition.
